Welcome to NDRA Website. We have now run 3 of our 4 meetings for the 2009-10 season. This meeting saw a good turn out of top competition cars along with the appearance of Killacycle an electric drag Bike from USA capable of reaching speeds of 270kpm and exhibition passes by Morice Millins Funny Car made for an action packed day for the large crowd.

Our final meeting for the season is to be held Easter Saturday 3 April (rain day Sunday) this being the North Island v South Island Challenge. For out of town racers we encourage you to pre enter by clicking on the link below, fill out the form and forward to use. Any inquiries please email info@ndra.co.nz or phone Buck (03) 576-5585 or John (03) 548-8584. For those who have not raced here before we use the Motueka Aerodrome on Queen Victoria Street. This about a 50 minute drive from Nelson. A prize giving is held at about 8pm back at the Bush Tavern in Grove Street Nelson, which is about a kilometer from central Nelson. Meals are available and there is plenty of accommodation with walking distance.

If you would like to race your street car which must be registered and warranted, please be at Gourdie Automotive 33 Waimea Road Nelson on the Thursday 1 April between 5.50 – 7pm to have you car inspected, your helmet checked and the paperwork done. You must have your drivers license with you and been able to pay a Day licence of $25.00 and race fee of $25.00. On race day you must have enclosed footwear and preferably overalls but long sleeve shirt and long trousers are OK.
