NDRA has now run 2 of the 4 meetings for the 2009-10 season. We have had good size fields in the street cars on both days but look forward to our next meeting 6 February 2010 which is a competition meeting part of the National NZDRA series and will attract several out of town cars and bikes; many of them record holders and some running as fast as a 7 second quarter mile. Also appearing will be from Killacycle (electric drag Bike) from USA.

For those who have not raced here before we use the Motueka Aerodrome on Queen Victoria Street. This about a 50 minute drive from Nelson. A prize giving is held at about 8pm back at the Bush Tavern in Grove Street Nelson, which is about a kilometer from central Nelson. Meals are available and there is plenty of accommodation with walking distance

If you would like to race your street car which must be registered and warranted please be at Gourdie Automotive 33 Waimea Road Nelson on the Friday before race day between 5.30 – 7pm to have you car inspected, your helmet checked and the paperwork done. You must have your drivers license with you and been able to pay a Day licence of $25.00 and race fee of $25.00. On race day you must be wearing enclosed footwear and preferably overalls but a long sleeve shirt and long trousers are OK.
